Club Information

Said to be one of the leading competitive clubs in the UK as one of only four RYA coastal Centres of Excellence. The club boasts 3,000 members, it is also a place that holds fond memories of times spent with loved ones whilst learning a new skill on some of Britain’s best sailing waters.
HISC retains it’s members, enjoying commitment from families that have been members for three or even four generations.
HISC members play a major role in helping run events and many other activities. Everyone between the ages of 18 and 69 is asked to contribute at least a couple of days a year to help run the club’s sailing activities. The day-to-day management of the club is in the hands of full-time staff, however it is the members that truly shape the future of HISC and that is what makes it such a special club.

The club is located in the at the entrance to Chichester Harbour with access to the water at all states of the tide. With a modern clubhouse, high level training, accommodation and regular and fun social events as top of the range facilities, HISC is one of the most popular sailing clubs on the south coast.
Membership rates increase dependent on age, under 30 is £120 a year, over 30 year old single adult would be £240, the rates increase to aged 80+ when they decrease. Applicants should complete an application form.
