Itchenor Sailing Club

Itchenor Sailing Club

Club Information

A friendly and lively sailing club, which prides itself on being one of the leading dinghy and keelboat sailing clubs in the UK. The club is family-friendly with multi-level fleets, a keen group of rowers and a busy social club. Located in beautiful Chichester Harbour, the club boasts scenic views of the surrounding area.

Events are run throughout the season, with racing from March to October and social events all through the year.

ISC’s location in the Harbour means that members have the privilege of sailing from the Club at any state of tide and our racing season runs all the way from March to October, making Itchenor quite unique. The club has three launching slipways and two floating jetties, providing guaranteed access at all states of tide to the Itchenor channel.. The  staging gives extensive berthing facilities for dinghies and tenders also.

For non boat owners or those who prefer more relaxed sailing, ISC offer their award winning 2000 project which offers a programme. The programme provides dinghy sailing in a laid-back atmosphere without the challenges of serious competitive sailing. The 2000 programme provides a mixed schedule of training, cruising, fun racing, and regattas each weekend allowing families, couples and individuals to have fun while developing their sailing skills without the need to own your own boat.

The club boats a fleet of 2000 dinghies provides a great way to take part.  ISC are proud to offer Junior Sailing. Youth sailors of all ages can develop to the highest levels of the sport, and most winters see many children training in both the RYA Squad and Club generated programmes.

The modern clubhouse provides accommodation for both Members and visitors as well as a bar and dining room. All our food is freshly cooked on site and locally sourced, wherever possible. ISC have a comprehensive social programme that runs all year round and includes parties, lectures, winter bridge, wine tastings, jazz evenings and film nights. The clubs welcomes new members.
