Claims to be one of the oldest clubs on the south coast.

Facilities: A main clubhouse, extensive boatyard equipped with a modern lift and moorings on the river adur. This is accompanied with the original clubhouse and locked moorings within Shoreham Port. SYC offers a bar and steward famous for hospitality on both sides of the channel, providing a a superb restaurant accompanied by river views.

The club can accommodated Yachts of all sizes, with both rallying and racing strongly supported.

There is a dinghy section to encourage the younger   the club as well as  a diving section. The club  is home to Sussex Sailability, which supports handicapped sailors of all abilities.
