Club Information

Established in 1913, and based in Weymouth harbour, Weymouth Sailing Club offers a wide range of benefits to its members. Boosting to have access to some of the best sailing waters in the UK, the club offers a full racing programme for cruisers, Squibs and dinghies throughout the year with an experienced race management team.

The club also holds an annual Regatta and open series racing, has a thriving cruising group and active cadet group and YOBs (Youth on Boats) class.

If you are a novice or haven’t taken the plunge in buying your own boat yet the club provides the chance to crew on club boats and to improve your sailing skills with the support of fellow sailors.

The club has a fleet of well-maintained club boats for use by members – dinghies and Squib, the of two cranes and yard storage and good sheltered moorings in Weymouth harbour with easy access to sailing waters and no tide problems.

There is a range of training the club provides including dinghy sailing courses, including RYA Level 1/2 at discounted rates, RYA Powerboat and Safety Boat courses at discounted rates. The club also offers RYA theory courses in navigation from Day Skipper to Yacht master Ocean at subsidised prices.

A clubhouse has picturesque views it the harbour, galley facilities with food and a professionally run bar.  There are shower and changing room facilities. The club runs a full social programme throughout the year.

Members can also enjoy discounts at local chandlers and other retail outlets.
